Director of Sales

Hilton Garden Inn Evanston-Chicago

Salary Per Year - $110,000-$115,000

The Hilton Garden Inn Chicago-Evanston seeks a dynamic, experienced Director of Sales to lead our sales strategy and significantly drive revenue growth. The Director of Sales will develop strategic plans, identify new business opportunities, and cultivate relationships across corporate, group, and leisure segments.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy:

Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans and budgets. Actively participate in strategic planning, revenue management meetings, and brand initiatives.

Sales Execution:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, group, and leisure markets.

Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, travel partners, and community influencers.

Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.

Revenue Management & Forecasting:

Develop and execute annual budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans.

Monitor revenue streams (rooms, F&B, meetings & events) and control expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted GOP.

Brand & Guest Experience:

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to implement strategies that drive transient, group, and corporate business.

Leverage Hilton Honors programs and digital channels to maximize occupancy and RevPAR.

Ensure all sales activities align with Hilton brand standards and service values. Partner closely with operations and marketing teams to guarantee exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience (8+ years hotel sales experience).
Minimum 7 years of Hilton brand sales experience required.
Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets and managing high-performing sales.
Extensive knowledge of the local market, industry trends, and competitor analysis.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with Hilton sales systems (Delphi, OnQ, R&I) strongly preferred.
