About the Thriving Cities Fund

The Thriving Cities Fund, a non-equity investment group from Homegrown and Flock Safety, provides growth capital to brick & mortar businesses without personal guarantees. This October, we’re coming to Fort Worth to host a special event for high-performing brick & mortar entrepreneurs.

We were founded by a group of entrepreneurs who wanted a different kind of growth capital partner that was more friendly, human, and reliable. Here's how our growth capital partnerships are different:

About the Event (there will be no death by powerpoint)
We're coming to Fort Worth mostly to spend time with brick & mortar entrepreneurs. We anticipate spending only about 15-20 minutes talking about the Thriving Cities Fund & Homegrown, but the rest of the time will be back-and-forth discussion, Q&A, and mingling time. Location & Time:
October 9th 2025 from 9 AM - 10 AM Chadra Mezza & Grill 1700 South Fwy Suite 100 Fort Worth, Texas 76104

During this get together, you’ll:

• Hear lessons learned from investing in successful brick & mortar businesses
• Share your own growth goals and explore how funding can support your next chapter
• Get very specific guidance on how to help make your business as ready as possible to take on outside growth capital
• Meet the Thriving Cities Fund team and other entrepreneurs
While this event is open to brick & mortar entrepreneurs and with at least one location, our funding is primarily focused on profitable multi-unit brick & mortar businesses who are actively expanding through new locations, remodels, or acquisitions. It's important to us to get to know entrepreneurs early and build relationships well ahead of a potential funding partnership :-). We also have a team that can work with single-location operators to find funding.
This event is also open to people who directly serve brick & mortar entrepreneurs (real-estate brokers, contractors, designers, etc.).

What We Mean by “Brick & Mortar”

When we say brick & mortar, we’re talking about businesses where customers or patients can walk in for a service or experience. That includes: restaurants, gyms, salons, spas, retail shops, co-working spaces, medical and dental practices, and urgent care clinics. Please note: at this time, the Thriving Cities Fund does not provide capital to pure technology companies.
