Hi! I'm a twenty-something, Mexican American writer named Gisela. My background in writing consists of a Creative Writing degree from Hamline University, a minor in English, and three years in tutoring. Along with that, I have contributed to
Runestone Literary Journal and
Cicada Creative Magazine as part of the editorial board and reviewing team respectively. Having been on both the writer and editor side of things, I provide several lenses when analyzing work.
Profession aside, I'm a writer with a strong admiration of the moon and all things fantastical. I vacillate between aesthetics, more often than not landing on either very cozy or deeply inquisitive ideas, which, when you think about it, is a good reflection of my personality. Apart from writing, I love to look at art, play video games, and be on the lookout for my next obsession.
