About ReFi DAO

Vision: A Network Society to Regenerate the Earth.

In the face of cascading global challenges, we do not despair. We envision a regenerative paradigm. A transformative future where community, finance, and technology work in synergy towards ecological and social harmony.

Mission: A global regenerative economy, rooted in local communities.

ReFi DAO’s mission is to regenerate the Earth by catalysing regenerative economies at local, bioregional, and global scale. To get there, we aim to scale the Regenerative Finance (ReFi) movement and empower communities in co-creating a future rooted in social equity, economic opportunity, and ecological restoration.

Network Structure

ReFi DAO operates as a decentralized network of interconnected structures and initiatives, each aligned under our shared mission, values, and Community Covenant.
👉 ReFi DAO Global: The connective coordination body for the global network, providing strategic development, operational support, and alignment across the ecosystem. Core Stewards, the Source Lead, and Contributors & Advisors collaborate to nurture the network’s growth, steward financial and operational resources, and ensure alignment with ReFi DAO’s mission and vision.
👉 Local Nodes: Autonomous and self-governing, Local Nodes are place-based communities that explore, implement, and innovate regenerative finance solutions within their regional contexts. While operating independently, they align with ReFi DAO’s broader mission, values, and charter and participate in the global network by fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and reporting transparently on their progress and impact.
👉 Network Initiatives: Independent projects, working groups, or guilds that bring specialized focus and innovation to the DAO’s mission. Examples include the ReFi Podcast and Prosperity Passport. While autonomous, Network Initiatives maintain coherence with the broader network, contribute unique value, and align with shared principles.
👉 Network Members: Entry-level members who join ReFi DAO by signing the Covenant, signalling their alignment with our mission, vision, and values. Members may participate in discussions, stay informed, and contribute informally, as well as support the DAO’s sustainability through donations and providing feedback. Network Members may transition into more active roles as they deepen their involvement.
Together, these interconnected structures form the foundation of ReFi DAO, fostering a dynamic, collaborative ecosystem designed to drive change on both local and global scales. Every member, initiative, and local node has a role to play in co-creating a regenerative future.

About this role

Through this form, you are applying to join ReFi DAO Global as a Contributor or Advisor. Contributors bring specific expertise, operational support, or collaborate on strategic projects, while Advisors provide insights and guidance based on their experience, often on an as-needed basis. Both roles offer flexibility, allowing for varying levels of involvement depending on the needs of the DAO and your capacity. There is no fixed time commitment or requirement, making this role adaptable to your availability and interests.

As a Contributor or Advisor, you may review key documentation, proposals, and plans for the DAO, with the option to participate in governance processes. While the role is primarily voluntary, opportunities for bounties and paid engagements will arise based on the DAO’s evolving needs and opportunities. Accepted members will receive a Contributors & Advisors hat in the ReFi DAO Hats tree, active for six months. After this period, you will have the opportunity to review your involvement and decide whether to continue in this role. This flexible framework ensures meaningful contributions while aligning with the DAO's mission and values.
