The Inaugural Overland Readers' Survey
For a long time now, Overland has owed its success to our incredible community of contributors, subscribers and supporters. And in the last two years in particular, we have felt your staunch support for our mission of speaking truth to power and amplifying the marginal and under-represented voices that are increasingly being silenced in the current neo-fascist climate.
In recent years, the reduction in arts grants funding and increase in production costs have put significant strain on Overland's finances. Although we have already implemented some measures to address thisโsuch as converting our quarterly publication to trienniallyโthe journal's finances remain in a critical state and Overland's long-term survival is under threat.
This is where you come in. As a small but ambitious publication, we are often thinking about how we can best support and serve our community while growing our subscriber base. Yet, we don't want to simply be a product that people consume; we want to understand who exactly is reading us, where you're located, and how we can better connect with your interests and curiosities.
