2026 Dancing in the Streets Volunteer Application

Hello! We greatly appreciate your willingness to be a part of our team and contribute to the success of Dancing in the Streets. Your support is invaluable and we are excited to work together to make this event memorable.

Please take a few moments to complete the following application form to help us understand your preferences and availability. Your information will assist us in assigning you to a volunteer position that aligns with your interests and schedule.

As a THANK YOU all volunteers will recieve a special, Dancing in the Streets Volunteer shirt as well as a pre and post thank you party. More details below.

Responsibilities & Hours

Date: Saturday, July 11, 2025
Time: 8:00am - 11:00pm
We have several opportunities for Volunteering. You can volunteer before the event & help with the core planning and organzation of the event. This is great opportunity if you are looking to get more into special events, to learn about what it takes to organize them or get a great resume booster!
We also have opportunities for during the event that require anywhere from 2- 6 hours.

Positions Available:

Before Event Opportunities:

1. Poster Distributor:
Description: Help hang posters before the event
Responsibilities: 1-3 hours
2. Event planning:
Description: If you have experience in event planning, wed love to get you involved in the before hand logistics. This would look like attending planning meetings and volunteering where you fit.
3. Community Outreach
This role supports fundraising and promotion by working booths at farmers markets and local events. Volunteers will help set up a MidTown booth, sell merchandise, share information about the event and encourage donations to support Dancing in the Streets.

During Event Opportunities

1. Check-In Area Volunteers (12-24 volunteers):
Description: This role keeps the event running smoothly from the front lines. You'll be stationed at check-in areas throughout the event, greeting attendees, pointing people in the right direction, checking IDs, handing out wristbands and collecting donations.
Responsibilities: Work for 2-4 hours on the event day (volunteers will work half of the event).
2. Bartender
Description: we are looking for folks to help bartend at two of the MidTown hosted bars. You MUST have your AA card to get this position. You will need to upload your card on the application. Your application will be sent to the bar manager for the event, they will be the ones to reach out to you.
3. Stages
Description: Assigned to a specific stage and assist the stage owner with whatever they need help with
Responsibilities: Work for 2-4 hours on the event day (volunteers will work half of the event).
4. Merch Sales
Description: This will involve walking/ biking or pedicabing around the event selling Dancing in the Streets merchandise.
Responsibilities: Work for 2-4 hours on the event day (volunteers will work half of the event). You will be responsible for carrying money.

We will have a pre-volunteer party/ training before the event, it is a requirement to make it to this but we promise it’ll be fun!
For volunteering, all volunteers will receive event shirts, swag items, attend Volunteer Appreciation party with food, drink and giveaways!
