What We're Building
Arkade introduces programmable Virtual Transaction Outputs (VTXOs) that can execute complex logic offchain while remaining anchored to Bitcoin's security. Key components include:
• Core Infrastructure in Go — powering Arkade’s backend.
• Multi-language SDKs (TypeScript, .NET, Go, Rust) with plans for Dart, Python, and more
• Arkade Script, Emulator, and Compiler - expanding programmability in Arkade while retaining Bitcoin's UTXO model
• Arkade Assets - a Bitcoin-native protocol for sending and receiving non-BTC financial instruments, such as stablecoins, shares, options, and covered calls.
• Arkade Intents - an open, Nostr-based protocol for atomic swaps, enabling non-interactive Lightning payments and crosschain transfers.
• TEE-based signing infrastructure for secure, verifiable operations
• Virtual Mempool enabling parallel transaction processing for Bitcoin native applications
• Reference wallets and proof of concepts for atomic swaps, loan marketplaces, vaults, escrow, smart wallets and other Bitcoin-native applications.
What You’ll Work On
As a TypeScript Engineer, you’ll help make Arkade easy to build with across wallets, applications, and developer tooling. You’ll:
• Build and improve Arkade’s TypeScript SDKs
• Develop reference wallets, integrations, and proof of concepts
• Design clean APIs around Bitcoin, VTXOs, and Arkade primitives
• Improve developer tooling, testing, documentation, and examples
• Work with Bitcoin Script, Taproot, and the UTXO model
• Collaborate with the core engineering team on new Arkade capabilities
Who You Are
• Strong professional experience with TypeScript
• Experience with production applications, SDKs, APIs, or libraries
• Solid understanding of testing, software architecture, and maintainable code
• Familiarity with Bitcoin fundamentals, or strong motivation to learn
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, async-first team
Nice to Have
• Bitcoin or Lightning development experience
• React, React Native, Node.js, mobile, or PWA experience
• Active Open-source contributions
• Cryptography or security experience
• Experience with Go, Rust, Python, Dart, or C#
