💼 Position Overview

This is a 1099 independent contractor role.

Educators are compensated according to the compensation structure outlined below.

Preparation, communication, and feedback (when applicable) are included in the role and are not separately compensated.

Compensation is determined by the compensation structure outlined below and is applied consistently across educators.

Educators must be comfortable teaching small classes, including single learners.

Educators are expected to represent Angie’s Bilingual Class with professionalism, warmth, and strong classroom presence.

💻 Teaching Format

Our educators teach structured programs in live virtual classrooms.

Most classes:

meet between 1 and 4 times per week, depending on the program

run between 30–40 minutes, depending on the class type

are taught in small group settings (up to 10 learners max)

may occasionally run with one enrolled learner

All classes are expected to be:

interactive and engaging

student-centered

structured and well-paced

👩‍🏫 Single-Learner Classes (Important)

Educators must be prepared to teach classes of any size, including those with a single learner.

These sessions are still considered group classes (not private tutoring)

Compensation follows the group class rate based on enrollment

Classes will run even with one learner enrolled

These sessions are not converted into private tutoring

🧾 Responsibilities

Educators are expected to:

• Deliver engaging and structured virtual lessons

• Facilitate student participation and interaction

• Follow provided lesson materials, curriculum, and instructional expectations

• Communicate professionally within 24 hours during the work week

• Maintain awareness of assigned schedules, class updates, and program expectations

Depending on the program, responsibilities may also include:

• Providing feedback

• Reviewing student work

• Sharing progress updates or grades

These expectations will be clearly communicated based on the role assigned.

🧑‍🏫 Qualifications

Applicants must:

hold an active teaching certification (required)

have experience working with children

be comfortable teaching in a virtual setting

be confident using platforms such as Zoom and Google Drive

Applicants must also:

reside in the United States

be eligible to work as a 1099 contractor

🏠 Work Environment

Educators must have:

a quiet, professional home workspace

reliable high-speed internet

the ability to teach without interruptions

Educators may also use simple teaching tools (whiteboards, props, etc.) to support instruction.

💰 Compensation & Pay Structure Educators are compensated based on class frequency and active enrollment.

Weekly Group Class Rates

1x/Week Classes

• 1–3 learners: $10/week

• 4–6 learners: $15/week

• 7+ learners: $20/week

2x/Week Classes

• 1–3 learners: $20/week

• 4–6 learners: $30/week

• 7+ learners: $40/week

3x/Week Classes

• 1–3 learners: $30/week

• 4–6 learners: $45/week

• 7+ learners: $60/week

Important Notes on Group Classes

• Compensation is based on active paid enrollment.

• Enrollment may fluctuate from week to week.

• Classes may run with a single enrolled learner.

• Compensation is for live teaching time and assigned educator responsibilities.

• Curriculum and lesson materials are provided by Angie’s Bilingual Class.

• Educators are paid weekly.

1:1 Tutoring Rates

30 minutes – $18

50 minutes – $30

Small Group Tutoring Rates
(Minimum 2 Learners Required)

30 minutes – $21

50 minutes – $35

Additional Notes

• Compensation for group classes is based on class frequency and active paid enrollment.

• Compensation for tutoring services is based on the assigned tutoring format and session length.

• Enrollment may fluctuate from week to week for group classes.

• Small Group Tutoring sessions require a minimum of two learners and are designed for pre-formed groups (siblings, friends, learning pods, co-ops, schools, districts, and similar groups).

• Curriculum, lesson materials, and instructional resources are provided by Angie’s Bilingual Class unless otherwise specified.

• Compensation structures are applied consistently across educators.

• Educators are paid weekly.
