💼 Position Overview

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor teaching position with Angie’s Bilingual Class.

Instructors teach engaging live online classes using curriculum, lesson presentations, and instructional materials provided by Angie’s Bilingual Class.

This position is ideal for certified educators who enjoy teaching children in a structured, positive, and student-centered virtual environment.

New instructors typically begin with one recurring class section. Compensation for assigned group classes is based on the enrollment of each class section. Additional sections may be offered based on reliability, instructional performance, enrollment, and organizational needs.

💻 Teaching Format

Our instructors teach structured programs in live virtual classrooms.

Most classes:

meet between 1 and 4 times per week, depending on the program;

are 30–35 minutes in length, depending on the class assigned; are taught in small-group settings, typically with up to 8 learners; Class sections may occasionally include only one enrolled learner. Instructors should be comfortable teaching classes of varying sizes while creating a positive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.

All classes are expected to be:

interactive and engaging;

student-centered; structured and well-paced

👩‍🏫 Single-Learner Classes (Important)

Occasionally, a scheduled group class may have only one enrolled learner.

Instructors should be prepared to teach classes of any size while providing the same high-quality learning experience expected in every Angie’s Bilingual Class classroom.

These sessions remain scheduled group classes, are not considered private tutoring sessions, and are compensated according to the applicable Enrollment-Based Group Class Compensation schedule.

🧾 Responsibilities

Instructors are expected to:

Deliver engaging and structured live virtual lessons. Follow the provided curriculum, lesson presentations, and instructional expectations. Encourage learner participation while maintaining a positive, engaging, and student-centered classroom environment. Respond professionally to family messages related to assigned classes within 24 hours during the workweek. Review assigned schedules, class updates, and program expectations. Notify Angie's Bilingual Class promptly of absences, emergencies, technical issues, or classroom concerns that may affect instruction. Represent Angie's Bilingual Class with professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude at all times.

🧑‍🏫 Qualifications

Applicants must:

-Hold an active U.S. teaching certification. -Have experience working with children. -Be comfortable teaching in a live virtual environment. -Be confident using Zoom and online learning management systems. -Reside in the United States. -Be legally authorized to work in the United States and eligible to provide services as an independent contractor (Form 1099). -Be willing and able to complete a background check before teaching learners. -Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills.

🏠 Work Environment

Instructors must have:

A quiet, professional teaching environment. Reliable high-speed internet. A computer with a working webcam and microphone. Clear audio and appropriate lighting. The ability to teach without interruptions. A clean and distraction-free background. Instructors may use simple teaching tools, such as a mini whiteboard, flashcards, or basic props, to support instruction and enhance learner engagement.

💰 Enrollment-Based Group Class Compensation

Compensation is paid per completed live class and is based on the enrollment of each assigned group class section.

Our classes meet 1–4 times per week, depending on the program. New instructors typically begin with one recurring class section, which may include multiple weekly classes scheduled together.

30-Minute Group Classes

Compensation per Completed Live Class
1 learner: $8 2–3 learners: $10 4–5 learners: $12 6–8 learners: $15
35-Minute Group Classes
Compensation per Completed Live Class
1 learner: $9 2–3 learners: $11 4–5 learners: $13 6–8 learners: $16
Group Class Compensation

Compensation for group classes is determined by the active enrollment of each assigned class section and is paid according to the applicable Enrollment-Based Group Class Compensation schedule.

Because enrollment in recurring subscription-based classes may increase or decrease from week to week, instructor compensation for group classes may also increase or decrease accordingly. Compensation is based on the active enrollment of the assigned class section for each instructional week.

Additional class sections may become available based on instructor availability, instructional performance, enrollment, and organizational needs.


Important Notes on Group Classes

-Compensation is paid per completed live class in accordance with the applicable Enrollment-Based Group Class Compensation schedule. -Group classes may occasionally run with one enrolled learner. These remain scheduled group classes and are not considered private tutoring sessions. -Compensation for group classes is based on the active enrollment of the assigned class section for each instructional week. Because enrollment may increase or decrease from week to week, compensation may also change accordingly. -Compensation includes the live instructional session and the routine responsibilities associated with assigned classes. -Angie’s Bilingual Class provides the curriculum, lesson presentations, instructional materials, and classroom resources needed to teach assigned classes. -Instructors are paid biweekly.

📚 Tutoring Opportunities
Instructors may also be considered for tutoring opportunities based on student needs, instructor availability, qualifications, and organizational needs.

1:1 Tutoring Compensation

30 minutes – $18

50 minutes – $30

Small Group Tutoring Compensation (Minimum 2 Learners Required)

30 minutes – $21

50 minutes – $35

Small-group tutoring is generally designed for pre-formed groups, such as siblings, friends, homeschool learning pods, schools, districts, and similar groups.

Tutoring Expectations

Instructors are expected to:

Provide individualized instruction based on the learner's goals. Submit a brief lesson summary after each tutoring session outlining what was covered, learner progress, and the focus for the next session. Maintain communication with families in a professional and timely manner regarding the learner's academic progress.

Teaching opportunities are offered based on instructor availability, qualifications, program needs, enrollment, and scheduling.
