This workshop was created to give people a safe, relaxed and non-judgemental space to talk openly about mental health.
Many people deal with difficult thoughts, emotions, stress, isolation and personal challenges without having somewhere they feel comfortable speaking about them.
The aim of these sessions is to create a space where people can connect, talk, listen and feel less alone. We also want to help tackle loneliness and isolation within our community by bringing people together in a supportive environment.
There is no pressure to speak. People are welcome to share as much or as little as they feel comfortable with, or simply listen.
This workshop does not replace therapy, counselling, medical treatment or professional mental health support.
The sessions are facilitated by Amine, a Children and Young People’s (CYP) Residential Support Worker with professional experience supporting young people in an Ofsted-registered children’s home.
Amine has training in:
• Adult and Child Safeguarding
• Mental Health, Adult and Paediatric First Aid
• Self-Harm Awareness
• Trauma-Informed Practice
• PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy)
He also brings lived experience of overcoming personal adversity.
