Rythmo device: register your interest

Rythmo is a pocket tap-per-breath counter for respiratory rate. It is in development, has not been built yet and is not for sale. Leave your email and I will tell you when there is a prototype to try.

Concept render. Nothing has been built yet and the finished device will differ.

The device, as planned

• Roughly the size of a car key, for a pocket, a lanyard or a keyring.
• One physical button you press once per breath. It clicks, and it works with gloves on and with wet hands.
• A three digit screen shows the rate per minute and stays readable in bright sun.
• A three step bar fills as consistent taps build up, and IRREG shows when the gaps between your taps keep varying.
• Runs on a replaceable coin cell, so there is nothing to charge and no port to keep dry.
• The same tap-per-breath method as the free Rythmo apps for iPhone, Android and Garmin.

Concept render. The bar on the screen fills as your taps settle.
It calculates a rate from the taps you enter. It does not detect breathing and does not diagnose anything. This is a design direction, not a final specification, and what gets built depends on what comes back from people who would carry one. There are no orders, deposits or pre-sales.
