Join Europe Magazine as a Data Journalist

Europe Magazine helps people understand the European continent as a whole — because there are news, developments and stories in Europe that matter across borders. We reach millions every month across our social media channels and have built a community of more than 100,000 followers — and we want to keep growing. To do that, we’re looking for creative minds who want to contribute their skills and develop themselves in the process.
We work fully remotely across Europe and coordinate our projects through our own custom-built dashboard, which allows every team member to collaborate from almost anywhere.

Job description:

The easiest way to explain complex topics is through visuals — infographics, maps and charts.We’re looking for data journalists who can turn numbers into stories that make Europe more understandable.

Tasks

- Research and identify stories worth visualising

- Create engaging infographics, maps or charts

- Critically review and improve visuals

Your Profile

- Proven experience in data analysis and visualisation

- Skills in using tools like Illustrator, Flourish, Datawrapper, Tableau, etc.

- Strong interest in social and political topics

- Ability to work with maps or learn quickly

- Strong English skills (other European languages are a plus)
