I often meet with people who claim they aren't "good test-takers," "science/math minded," or frequently use the phrase "my brain isn't wired that way."
Upon scrutinizing the tools they use to approach learning, we find out, usually very quickly, that the issue has nothing to do with their brain wiring, but that they aren't using effortful learning strategies.
This is a revealing moment because it unburdens them of the false narratives that were created about their capacity as a learner.
When answering these questions, try to be as reflective and honest (with yourself) as possible. Two things to know before you get started:
