We believe that community knowledge-sharing is dynamic, and does not manifest in one singular, exclusive form. The journal is built to be a space liberated from restrictive borders and barriers to entry: all community members are invited to participate.
By platforming the work of our community members, the journal offers a space to discover, engage and learn from the knowledge held within our community — by us, for us.
We welcome submissions of all forms and mediums, and encourage community members of all backgrounds and education levels to contribute.
We recognize the importance of collective knowledge production, and want to foster an interactive, supportive environment for both material contributors and peer collaborators.
As the journal accepts pieces from all genres and mediums, we are seeking peer collaborators for both text/written pieces, and visual media/creative pieces.
The peer collaborators for text and written pieces will:
- Read submissions to the journal
- Offer one round of in-text feedback to the author
- Ensure spelling and grammatical clarity
The peer collaborators for visual media and creative pieces will:
- View submissions to the journal
- Offer one round of critique-style suggestions to the contributor
These are volunteer roles with a projected time commitment of 5-7 hours per month.
All peer collaborators will receive added support from the BCRC team as needed. Resources will be made readily available to guide peer collaborators in their duties.
