Monica Chibuogu Nneji Foundation (MCNF) believes in the power of education to change lives. We seek to identify and invest in outstanding students who are innovative, inclusive, resilient, and driven to overcome systemic barriers.
MCNF funds The MCNF College Scholarship for future health care professionals dedicated to improving health equity (fair access to health care).
This scholarship is designed to support students pursuing higher education in health care fields. Our goal is to open doors for outstanding students from underrepresented backgrounds so they can access higher education and meaningful careers in health care.
Award Details:
The Foundation awards each selected scholar a $500 scholarship based on unmet financial need. These funds are paid directly to the scholar’s college or university. Scholars also receive professional mentorship to guide them throughout their academic journey.
You are eligible to apply for the MCNF College Scholarship if you are:
+ Pursuing Associate or Bachelor degree in a health care related program at an accredited college/university in the U.S.
+ Planning a career in health care with a strong goal of improving health equity by working in an essential field such as nursing, medicine, therapy, mental health, social work, public health, biomedical engineering, or scientific research to positively impact underserved communities.
+ Demonstrating a strong track record of community service and academic excellence.
+ Demonstrating unmet financial need (requiring assistance to pay for college).
+ A member of any of the following underrepresented groups in the health-related sciences:
+ individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups
+ individuals with disabilities
+ individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds
+ Not previously selected as an MCNF College Scholar.
