Miss Video 4 U and grouphug mag invite you to participate in a 24-hour video race. We will host a screening of selected video submissions at Stone Circle Theater in Ridgewood, NY on September 5 as part of the launch of grouphug, issue 4. We can't wait!!
At the start of the race, we email you guidelines for creating your video and instructions for uploading your finished work. These guidelines will include mandatory elements such as a specific line of dialogue or the maximum duration of the video. They are designed to generate ideas and establish focus. Your concept must adhere to these guidelines. No prior experience with filmmaking required. You may participate solo or together with a group. We encourage that you script, shoot, and edit within 24 hrs, but will accept work created with sampling or remixing techniques which require the use of pre-recorded or archival material.
Participants retain ownership of their work.
All submissions will be made publicly available online so that participants outside of New York will be able to watch. Any participants based in New York that finish the race are welcome to attend the screening for free.
Start: 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 29
End: 12:00 pm on Sunday, August 30

If you are in a group, please provide the names of all participants. We want to make sure you're credited properly. That being said, feel free to use a pseudonym or come up with a team name!
