A flock of birds is not a collection of individuals. It is a living field.
We are not self-contained. We come into being in relation. What we can perceive, feel and create depends profoundly on who we are with and how present we are to each other.
We know this. And yet we live in a time that tells us the individual is the unit of everything. We have become very good at working alone, thinking alone, creating alone. The challenges that matter most cannot be met this way. They need a different kind of intelligence. One that lives between us, not just inside us.
Murmurations is a day to practise that intelligence. Together we will move, speak, reflect and play - experimenting with what becomes possible when we let go of the limit of individuality and start genuinely moving together. We will work with physical practices, such as flocking and one brain. The day is informed by thinkers and doers from philosophy, mysticism and science who have explored the nature of the space between us and what potentials it holds.
This is a laboratory. What emerges will be shaped by where we are willing to go together.
Makers, teachers, thinkers, creators, doers & dreamers all welcome.
No previous experience needed. Just curiosity.
