The role of Cohesion Policy in promoting cultural and historical heritage through local authorities

The primary objective of the project is to deliver and present a study to the Members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development, focusing on the role of cohesion policy in promoting cultural and historical heritage through local authorities. The study will analyse Cohesion Policy’s contribution to cultural heritage and outline the difficulties of local authorities in funding heritage conservation and promotion projects. The study will also provide recommendations for the post-2027 Cohesion Policy framework, with a particular focus on the role and competences of the European Parliament.
