Job Title: Preventive Maintenance Engineer
Location: Baghdad – Al-Arasat
Job Summary:

This position is responsible for offering technical guidance and support to field technical teams ensuring all specifications of technologies, maintenance details are communicated and understood fully by the field maintenance teams. This position is also a field position handling resolution of complex technical problems assisting the Expert technician in finalizing solutions to the issues in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise in mechanical analysis, optical transmission, cable infrastructure, and wireless systems to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure safe and efficient network operations by reviewing site acceptance documents and validating installations before final approval.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance.
• Support field maintenance teams and supervisors by applying industry standards and best practices.
• Interpret engineering drawings and managing installation, modification, and removal of telecom and power systems equipment.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and third parties to maintain quality standards and ensure timely delivery of assets and services.
• Troubleshot network failures and outages, providing 24/7 on-call technical support when required.
• Perform and supervise fiber optic and copper cable placement, termination, fusion splicing, and testing.
• Manage wired and wireless communication projects using planning tools, including RF system modeling and network optimization.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, maintenance logs, and ensure compliance with operational and technical standards.
Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Telecom Engineering or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in Engineering, ISP, or Telecom Maintenance role.
• Good Command of English and Arabic- Written and Spoken.
• Good Command of Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent interpersonal skills: a team player who generates enthusiasm and builds effective working relationships
• Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Self-motivated, hands-on critical thinker and problem solver.
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn complex concepts.
• Knowledge working on network equipment in an ISP environment.
• Basic knowledge in Quality Standards & ITIL.
• Basic Knowledge in Fixed and wireless telecommunications industry.
• Basic knowledge or experience with telecom/network equipment, routers, IP switches, data center, cabling, fiber and copper distribution, AC/DC power systems, environmental controls, and relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.
• Understanding and basic command of CAD tools, reading work prints, network designs, fault diagnosis tools, communication systems and tools, catalogues, training material.
