Why Am I Still Hurting?

NEUROPLASTIC SYMPTOMS CHECKLIST

You've tried the treatments. You've done the exercises. You've seen the specialists. Maybe you've even been told, "Everything looks normal." Yet you're still living with pain, dizziness, headaches, fatigue, or other symptoms that just won't go away.

If you've ever wondered…

*Why am I still hurting? *Why do my symptoms seem to move around or change from day to day? *Why do stress, emotions, or certain situations seem to make everything worse? *Why haven't all the treatments I've tried given me lasting relief?

…you're not alone.

For many people, persistent symptoms are not caused by ongoing tissue damage, but by an overprotective brain and nervous system that has become stuck in "protection mode." This is known as neuroplastic pain or symptoms.

This does NOT mean your symptoms are "all in your head." Your pain is real. Your dizziness is real. Your fatigue is real. It simply means that your brain and nervous system may have learned to continue producing symptoms long after the original danger has passed—and what the brain has learned, it can also relearn.

This checklist will help you identify whether your symptoms share the common characteristics of neuroplastic pain. While it is not a diagnosis, it can help you determine whether your brain and nervous system may be playing a significant role in your symptoms and whether a brain-body approach to healing may be appropriate.

Most importantly, my hope is that this checklist gives you something many people with chronic symptoms haven't felt in a long time: Hope.

Where should we send your results?

Result: Pain May Be Primarily Structural

Your score is between 0-3.
Your score suggests your symptoms are more likely to be primarily related to structural or tissue injury. However, if your pain has persisted longer than expected, multiple treatments have provided little relief, or your symptoms seem disproportionate to the injury, a neuroplastic component may also be present. A thorough assessment can help determine the most appropriate treatment approach.
