Take a chance with me?

I’ve always found it a little difficult to introduce myself. There’s something about putting an entire person into a few paragraphs that feels rather impossible, so I suppose I’ll just let you discover me through the things I love, the way I spend my days, and the little pieces of myself I choose to share.

I go by she/her, and I’m currently in my mid-twenties, balancing my work life with college. I can be a little reserved when we first meet, but I tend to grow more talkative once I feel comfortable. Give me a conversation that flows naturally, a little curiosity, and some genuine warmth, and I’ll probably have plenty of stories to tell. I enjoy getting to know people beyond the usual introductions, especially when talking feels less like an obligation and more like something we both look forward to.

When it comes to my interests, I’m quite fond of romance-fiction, romantic comedies, and sci-fi movies. I love a good romance that makes me feel all sorts of things, but I’m equally drawn to stories that take me somewhere entirely unfamiliar. I watch anime, too, and every now and then, I pick up a book to keep myself occupied or learn a few new words along the way. I suppose reading has become one of my little ways of spending time while expanding my English vocabulary.

Music is another thing I could never really go without. My taste is all over the place, and I’m always finding myself drawn to different genres depending on my mood. Wave To Earth, Hozier, Chase Atlantic, Arctic Monkeys, and Olivia Rodrigo are some of my favourites, though my playlists are hardly limited to them. I also listen to subliminals quite a lot, so there’s a good chance you’ll find me with my headphones on, listening to something or other.

And then, of course, there’s Formula 1, which has been taking up a rather suspicious amount of my attention lately. I enjoy following the races, keeping up with the drivers, and getting caught up in whatever chaos happens over the weekend. If you’re someone who enjoys F1, I’d be more than happy to have someone to talk about it with. Even if you’re not, I can always tell you about it anyway.

When it comes to getting close to someone, I value the little things more than grand gestures. I like knowing that we’re both choosing to be here, that the effort comes naturally from either side, and that affection doesn’t have to be something we constantly ask for. I’m someone who pays attention, remembers the little details, and finds joy in making people feel considered. Tell me something about yourself once, and I might bring it up again when you least expect it.

I also appreciate someone who believes in open and honest communication. I’d rather have a conversation about something that feels uncomfortable than be left guessing where I stand. If something changes, if you need space, or if something is bothering you, I’d appreciate you telling me. I’m not particularly fond of being ghosted out of nowhere, so a little honesty and consideration go a long way with me.

I think I’m happiest around people who feel easy to be with. Someone I can share random thoughts with, exchange silly updates throughout the day, or have a conversation with that somehow lasts much longer than either of us intended. I’m fond of tenderness, sincerity, and the kind of closeness that makes even an ordinary day feel a little lovelier.
