AMYORK LTD is the controller of your personal data. Registered in England and Wales, company number 14944125. Registered office: Atrium, York Eco Business Centre, Amy Johnson Way, York, United Kingdom, YO30 4AG. Contact: amyorkltd@gmail.com, or post to the registered office.
This covers the application form for Marcus's Founder Room, a private Telegram group, and its tickbox for Marcus’s founder notes (our newsletter).
- Your form answers: name, email, X or LinkedIn link, what you're building, stage, 90-day goal and what's in the way, who you want to meet, what you could help with, and, if you give them, your Telegram name and who referred you.
- Whether you ticked the newsletter box and when (wording version c6-2026-11-02).
- A hidden field showing which link brought you to the form.
- Our status for your application and Marcus's notes on it.
- Your join request and public Telegram profile, when you tap the request link.
If you name someone else, such as who referred you, we use it only to review your application and to suggest intros.
We need the required answers to consider your application. The optional answers and the newsletter are your choice and don't affect it.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To review your application and approve or decline your join request: legitimate interests. We run a vetted group for founders, and you asked to join it.
- To suggest introductions to other members: legitimate interests, for the same reason.
- To see which links bring applicants to the form, so we know which channels to keep: legitimate interests.
- To send the newsletter, only if you ticked the box: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. AMYORK LTD (Marcus Ribeiro) sends it through Substack, with guest session dates, opportunities and what’s working. We add you to it by hand from your form answers.
Once you're in, other members can see your Telegram name and profile.
- Tally BV, Belgium: hosts the form. Belgium is covered by UK adequacy regulations.
- Notion Labs, Inc., USA: holds our application records, under the UK standard contractual clauses.
- Substack Inc., USA: runs the newsletter list and emails, and is also a controller for its own processing. It uses the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- Grok Bot (Anysphere, Inc., USA): the AI assistant we use to set up the form and manage records. Anysphere says it transfers data only under legally valid mechanisms but does not name one.
- Telegram: runs the group and join requests as its own controller. It stores UK and EEA users' data in the Netherlands.
Ask us for details of these safeguards. We do not sell your data.
- Declined or no-response applications: 12 months after you sent the form.
- Members: while you're in the group, plus 12 months after you leave.
- Tally: we delete your answers there 90 days after they reach Notion.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or we close the newsletter.
You can ask for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct it, delete it or limit how we use it. You can object to our use of it for legitimate interests. You can ask for your newsletter data in a reusable format, or for us to send it to another organisation where technically feasible.
You can withdraw newsletter consent or object to direct marketing at any time, with the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us, and we stop.
Requests are free and we answer within one month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
None. Marcus reads every application and approves or declines each join request by hand.
