The International Media and Information Literacy Institute (IMILI), a pioneering UNESCO Category 2 Institute on Media and Information Literacy (MIL), under its flagship Africa Against Xenophobia Project (AfAX-P), is pleased to invite interested persons to participate in its: "Digital Storytelling for Peace Building." This initiative invites young Africans to harness the power of digital media to create compelling narratives that promote unity, tolerance, and peace; actively countering xenophobia, mis/disinformation and hate across the continent.

AfAX-P is IMILI’s strategic response to address misinformation-driven xenophobia and hates that threaten Africa’s social cohesion, regional integration, and economic stability. Recognizing the immense potential of youth and digital platforms, participants are encouraged to create original digital stories that explore and promote themes of unity, tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and the rejection of xenophobia and mis/disinformation within the African context. Stories should highlight the importance of responsible digital communication across African countries, that celebrates Africa's diversity, and inspire collective action towards a more harmonious future.
