Rainbow Journal Submissions

Send us your creative submission for the new Rainbow Journal using the form below. 

Since it was first created, the journal has shared artwork, quotes and creative writing from young people in our community. We’re inviting young people up to the age of 25 to send in new creative work to be considered for the new Rainbow Journal, due to be published later this year. 

The Brief 

We’d like you to send us one piece of creative work that could be featured in the new Rainbow Journal. Your work might help brighten someone’s day, help them feel less alone, or express an emotion that others might relate to. Here’s what we’re looking for: 

- A high-quality image, photograph, or a clear digital copy of visual artwork (for example: drawings, paintings, prints, sculpture, or other visual media.
- Creative writing, like a poem or short story, no longer than one side of A4 (font size 12).
- A tip or short piece of gentle advice you’d share with someone who might be finding things hard and to let them know that they’re not alone.

The journal will be printed in A5, portrait format. Please bear this in mind when submitting your piece, to ensure your work can be displayed in the best way for this size.  

As the journal will be professionally printed, we ideally require high-quality images where possible, though please keep files under 10MB.

You can choose to remain anonymous, however if you would like your first name and pronouns displayed alongside your piece, please provide them in the form below.
