Early Talent Experience Survey 2026

The Land Collective has spent years working to open the property and built environment sector to talent it has long overlooked. Through this work working directly with young professionals across the industry, we kept hearing the same thing, which is that the conversation about early talent in this sector almost always happens without early talent in the room. Panels, roundtables and industry reports tend to reflect the perspective of those who design and run programmes, not those who experience them. This survey is an attempt to change that.
We want to understand what it is actually like to be a graduate, apprentice or trainee in property and the built environment right now - the good, the not so good, and everything in between. We also want to know what excellence looks like from your perspective and what needs to change.
The most important question for us to answer is: what does the sector need to do if it genuinely wants to retain the young people it has worked hard to attract?

Who this is for

This survey is for anyone currently on a graduate scheme, apprenticeship or trainee programme in the property and built environment sector, or who has completed one within the last two years.

How your responses are used

Your responses are entirely anonymous and no individual will be able to be identified from their answers.

Following the end of the survey response collection, we hope to produce a report with our findings to share with industry as well as host a roundtable for apprentices and graduates to discuss these findings further to continue the conversation.

Thank you for taking part.

If you have any questions or concerns about the survey, please contact info@thelandcollective.com
Note: You can come back to the survey, your answers will be autosaved to your device.
