One day soon, The Continent will be the world's most important source for African news. Maybe even global news, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
To get there, we need your help. This beautiful experiment has grown because you have shared the newspaper with other humans. You've talked about it. You've talked to us about it. And you have connected us to funders and supporters. We are because you are.
So we are all ears (yes, technically, eyeballs but words are there to be messed with and we are in charge of this form).
This is our SIXTH annual survey. Over one-thousand-three-hundred of you filled out our last one. Let's beat that goal.
In those years you have given us some solid grounding – "okay coverage of some African matters" really set our hearts racing. You've also said many nice things, like "all-African with a big heart, large ambitions and a small budget."
Beyond being nice to read, your suggestions have changed how we do what we do. This month's Lesotho cover comes from your repeated asks for us to do more history, as did our two special series this year, the Museum of Stolen History and Monuments. Our Signal and Telegram subscription routes are here because of you.
On a very practical level, knowing why you read and share The Continent helps us make the case to funders to keep backing this journalism. And that means we can get it to 33,000 subscribers each week.
To world domination and beyond.
The Continent team.
Information is precious. Do we have your consent to collect this information and use it in the manner described above? (We were going to programme a no option but you took the time to read to this point so let's go forth on this adventure.)
