Cicely Waitlist: Let's build a more accessible education, together.

Hi! We're a UCL student team building Cicely, a growing suite of accessibility tools

co-designed with disabled and neurodivergent communities. Our mission is to provide students with the tools they need to navigate their academic environment with confidence and autonomy.

Our journey started at the UCL SENDtech Innovation Challenge, where we designed assistive technology for SEND students and won 2nd place! We're now part of an incubator program, working with university disability services and the broader accessibility community to develop these tools into real, impactful solutions that students can actually use.

Why the name "Cicely"?

We chose the name "Cicely" after the Sweet Cicely wildflower. It's a "companion plant" which means it helps the plants growing around it to thrive. This is our goal: by building better, more thoughtful tools for those who need them most, we create a more accessible and supportive environment for everyone.

About this Waitlist

We are currently in the active build phase of our journey. Because we want to get the details right, we aren't opening Cicely to the general public just yet. By joining the waitlist, you will be the first to know when we launch our pilot or beta programs.

It also means you get to help us build it. We don't just want users; we want co-designers! We want to know what actually frustrates you about university and work so we can build the specific solution you need.

Below are 6 questions that will help us understand what accessibility challenges matter most to you and which of our tools you're interested in. You'll also be able to choose exactly what types of updates you'd like to receive from us.
