Scripture Memorization Guide

A message from Pastor Eli: Memorizing Scripture takes time, but that's part of the benefit and goodness of memorization. Work at your own pace and don't be discouraged if you don't make it through the whole passage. Select any of the exercises which best suit your individual learning style.

Scripture memorization is not about pressure, but delight. We want to savor God's word, which is why we are setting aside time to memorize it and meditate upon it. So enjoy the journey, and let your heart delight in what the Lord says!

1. Recite Psalm 90:1-2 out loud, and try listening to an audio version or recording of yourself.

2. To memorize the whole passage, repeat each verse, one at a time, until fully memorized. Write or type as many times as needed.

3. Complete the verses.

6. Reflection: What difference does it make to believe in the eternal nature of God (that God has always been God and will always be God)? How does this knowledge give you humility and hope?
