About
The workshop, Prison bread is awful - we feed it to the ducks, presents cooking and writing as acts of care and connection across prison walls. What is the first dish you want to cook and eat with your loved ones after your release? Participants will cook selected vegetarian recipes from prisoners while discussing the German justice system and the importance of witnessing what happens in courtrooms.
The session will be held in German.
Registration
The workshop is donation-based.
Suggested sliding scale: 15-25 euros.
Donations will cover food and will support the Freiheitsfond
Donations will be collected on the day of the session, in cash, PayPal, or card payment via Stripe.
Accessibility
The entrance has a small step of approximately 10 cm, and the bathroom is not wheelchair accessible. We cannot guarantee a low-allergen environment as the space is shared. Please COVID test before attending or mask during the event—masks available on-site. Young people ages 10+ are welcome, though this is not a child-centered event.
