Fright Fest Haunted House 2026 Volunteer Sign-Up đŸ‘»

Fright Fest wouldn’t be possible without our incredible volunteers! Every year, it takes a dedicated team to transform our haunted house into one of the community’s favourite Halloween events, and we’d love to have you join us. Our haunted house is entry by cash donation, with all of the proceeds donated to TES hot lunch program.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with:

Set-Up: October 21 & 22

Scare Actors: October 24th- scare actor volunteers are asked to arrive for 4:30, the event starts at 5:00 and will end at 10:00 PM.) We will feed you dinner, and everyone will get to have some breaks lol! If coming for 4:30 doesn’t work, let Mercedes know, we’re flexible 😉

Take-Down: Sunday morning following the event

Again this year, Fright Fest will take place at Wilton Park Hall, so transportation IS A MUST! It is a 10 minute drive from both Thorsby and Calmar.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome! Whether you’d like to help build, decorate, scare, or clean up afterward, we’d love to have you on our team.

Scare Actor Roles

We’re looking for volunteers to fill our themed areas, including:

Clown/Circus Area – Dress as creepy clowns, circus performers, or carnival characters.

Stalker Farm – Think scarecrows, creepy farmers, graveyard spirits, or a horror-farm vibe.

Creepy Doll Room – Porcelain dolls, broken toys, or eerie doll characters.

when you select an area, that is the area that you will stay in unless you wanna swap costumes halfway through, we already have enough roaming haunters.

You’re welcome to use one of our available costumes or bring your own that fits your character. If you are choosing to bring your own costume, it must fit one of the below roles, and please describe the costume in the following section!

Please note: Scare actors should be comfortable working in an environment with fog machines, strobe lights, loud noises, and limited lighting.

October 25th- Take Down (morning, about 11:00am until it’s all done)

I understand there are risks involved in volunteering for a haunted house, I will be working in limited lighting, around fog machines, etc and assume all responsibility for myself. I also understand by volunteering I am agreeing to being photographed and/or recorded by guests and the Lions Club for promotional purposes and social media/content.
