Understanding the Pressures Boys Are Navigating Today in

Richmond and Wandsworth: Parent Webinar

*For residents of the London Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth*

DATE: Thursday 16th July 2026

TIME: 6pm - 7pm

Join Voicebox for a free 1-hour online webinar for parents and carers of boys and young people of all genders in Richmond and Wandsworth. Our Parent Webinar is designed to help parents and carers understand and respond to the messages boys and young people are receiving about masculinity, the pressures they are navigating and to support them in growing into confident, caring and emotionally resilient people.

*This event is exclusively for residents of the London Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth*

Layout of session

Led by one of the Voicebox co-founders, the webinar will take place on Zoom and will last 1 hour.

Parents and Carers will:

Build a clearer understanding of the pressures shaping young people’s behaviour, drawing on what students shared during Voicebox workshops.

Explore how peer pressure and unspoken “rulebooks” influence behaviour, including how fitting in, gaining status, and fear of social consequences can shape choices and identity.

Reflect on how home can be a safe base, where young people feel able to be honest, talk about pressures they are facing, and take off the “mask” they may feel they need to wear around others.
Learn practical ways to support their child, helping them navigate peer pressure and
gender expectations while maintaining clear boundaries, connection, and influence.
