Wiley Band 2026-2027 Private Lesson Enrollment

Private Lessons are the best investment you can make for your child and we are so excited that you've made this decision!

Financial Assistance

The cost of weekly private lessons ranges from $0.83 - $1.00 per minute based on the teacher's level of education and years of experience.
There is private lesson financial assistance for students who qualify and participate in the LISD Free and Reduced Lunch program

Do you need to apply for Financial Assistance?

You MUST already qualify for free or reduced lunch to apply. LISD has a need-based financial aid program to assist with the cost of private lessons for those situations where a student would not have access to lessons without financial assistance. Financial aid covers a portion of the cost per lesson. If you would like the information on how to apply, please select "Yes" and Mrs. Johnstone will email the application to you when it opens mid-August. You will have a short window of time to complete the Private Lessons Financial Assistance application as it closes for the year on August 31.

Scheduling

Private Lesson Instructor Preference

for 7/8th graders who were enrolled in private lessons in the last year

Lesson Time Preference

This does not guarantee availability. During Class lessons fill up FAST (typically before the school year starts). The private instructor will take your preference into consideration based on their availability.

Lesson Duration Preference

The private instructor will let you know what duration is available in their schedule & and what their rate is by the minute. If your student is given a "During Band Class" lesson time, it will likely default to a 22 min lesson regardless of what you select. Please select your preferred time regardless

Before School Availability

Regardless of whether or not this is your preference, please select which days your student COULD attend a private lesson, once per week, between 7:30- 9:00am. Students can wait in band hall before/after their lesson as needed.

Please include any scheduling requests or conflicts. Our private lesson instructors all do their best to accommodate requests, but have to work within their own scheduling constraints.
