Our Nearer to Nature Collage Kits are a creative way to tell us how your local greenspace feels to you.
Rather than filling in a traditional survey, the kit gives you a chance to respond using images, words, colours, textures and materials. You do not need to be artistic, and there is no correct way to make your collage. We are interested in what feels meaningful to you.
Your collage might show the things you enjoy about your local park or greenspace, places you avoid, things you notice, memories you associate with the space, what makes you feel welcome or unwelcome, or changes you would like to see in the future.
Each kit contains the materials you need to get started, along with some simple prompts to help you think about your experience of the space.
You can complete a collage on your own, with friends or family, or use the kit as a group activity. It can work well as part of an existing coffee morning, youth group, community session or other gathering.
There is no pressure to make something polished. The purpose is to capture thoughts and feelings that can sometimes be difficult to put into words.
Once you have finished, you will be asked to photograph your collage and send it back to us using the QR code provided. Your contribution will become part of the wider Nearer to Nature research and will help build a picture of what people value about greenspaces across North Lanarkshire, as well as what they would like to see changed.
The kits are free, but numbers are limited, so please only request one if you expect to complete it and send your response back to us.
Nearer to Nature is being delivered with North Lanarkshire Council and Feeldwork Futures.
