Expression of Interest Form: Language Exam Access Program (LEAP) for Health

LEAP for Health supports eligible applicants at one of two points in their health career journey: those who need an English language test result to gain entry to a nursing or midwifery program, and those who have completed health study and need a language test result as part of the registration process with AHPRA.

This exciting pilot program is designed for refugee background health care students and professionals to help overcome the financial barrier of language testing, and covers the cost of both a 6-week block of preparatory English classes delivered online by ILSC Language Schools, along with the cost of the Pearson language exam (valued at $490).

Successful completion of this course will make you eligible for a discount code (50% off) the Pearson Test of English (PTE) exam (valued at $490).

Participants need to demonstrate 'exam readiness' for the testing process (i.e., be ILSC A1 entry level/ IELTS 6.5+) by taking the ILSC English screening test.

The 6-week exam preparation program will include:·

- Guidance and preparation for the Pearson PTE examination (online)

- Informal assessment and level placement

- Ongoing academic support and feedback

- Peer support
