Help Shape FishEd – Career Exploration for Students ⭐
We are here to help students explore different careers through project-based workshops inspired by real professions.
Choosing a future career is one of the biggest decisions young people are expected to make, yet many reach this stage feeling unsure about what they want to do or which path is right for them. Career education only tells students about different professions, while work placements can be limited.
FishEd was created to bridge this gap through workshops designed on educational theories, including experiential learning, self-determination, and career construction.
Our workshops are designed for senior students (Years 9–12) and young adults who are still exploring their interests and future pathways.
Example workshops include:
Engineering ⚙️: Design, build, and race a balloon-powered car, then iterate on your design to improve its performance under engineering constraints.
Marketing 📊: Create branding for a new café, then adapt your campaign when the client's requirements change suddenly.
Business & Life Skills 💵: A local bakery is losing customers. With a limited budget, develop a strategy to help it grow.
Law 📑: An artist discovers their work was used to train an AI image generator without permission. Should this be legal? Research intellectual property law and argue for either the artist or the AI company.
Disaster Response ⚠️: A regional town has been devastated by a major flood. Each student receives a character card with different needs and priorities. Can your team negotiate, allocate a limited emergency budget, and restore the town while keeping everyone satisfied?

We aim to create high-quality, personalised career exploration experiences rather than one-size-fits-all workshops. Our future programs will use small groups (3–5 students per mentor) to provide meaningful guidance, personalised feedback, and support. We also aim to track each student's growth and provide parents with insights into their child's strengths, development, and career exploration journey.
