The Career Clarity Quiz

I change the subject — I genuinely don't know and I find the question uncomfortable

I give a vague answer — "something different" — because I haven't figured it out

I have a few ideas but I can't quite commit to any of them

I have a clear direction — I just haven't fully made the move yet

I draw a blank — I can't picture it at all

I see fragments — more freedom, less stress — but nothing concrete

I have a picture but it feels unrealistic, like something other people get to have

I can see it clearly — I just need the path to get there

I work hard, deliver results — and get rewarded with more work and the same title

I am appreciated but not advanced — seen as essential where I am, not leadership material for the next level

I have progressed, but I've hit a ceiling I can feel

My contribution is fully recognised and rewarded

I would be lost — I haven't invested in anything outside this role

I would be rattled — my network is thin and my CV is out of date

I would manage — I'd need a few weeks to pull things together

I would be ready — network, brand, and clarity are all strong

Underpaid and frustrated — there's a significant gap and it bothers me more than I like to admit

Vaguely uncomfortable — I suspect I should earn more but haven't pursued it

Roughly in line, but I know I'm leaving value on the table by staying in this structure

Compensated in a way that genuinely reflects my market value

I would jump at it immediately — I feel significantly undervalued right now

I would be very tempted — it would represent what I think I'm actually worth

I would consider it carefully — I'm fairly paid but it would depend on the role

I'd probably decline — I'm genuinely happy where I am

I would stumble — I know I'm good but struggle to say it without sounding arrogant or generic

I would give a decent answer but walk away feeling I hadn't quite landed it

I would give a solid response, though I know my positioning could be sharper

I would answer crisply and confidently — I know exactly what sets me apart

It's embarrassing — it doesn't reflect who I am today

It's basic — it's there but doesn't tell my story or make a case for my value

It's decent — reasonably current but not the kind of profile that stops someone scrolling

It's strong — a compelling profile that actively works for me

This is new — something has just shifted and I'm starting to pay attention

A year or two — it has been building but I've been too busy to do anything about it

Several years — I have been meaning to address it but life keeps getting in the way

A long time — and I have reached the point where I can't keep deferring this

Almost every week — it's become a reliable feature of my life and I don't like it

Sometimes — it comes in waves, particularly during high-pressure periods

Rarely or never — I largely look forward to my work

Not yet ready — I need more time to process before I take any action

Curious but cautious — I would want to understand exactly what it involves before committing

Ready but uncertain — I would commit if I genuinely believed it would work for me

I would start immediately — I'm done waiting and I know I need proper support to do this right

Something I have never seriously considered — I tend to figure things out on my own

I have thought about it but I'm not sure it would be right for me specifically

I am open to it — I can see how the right support could accelerate what I'm trying to do

I actively want it — I know that working with the right person would change everything
