INTRODUCTION & INSTRUCTION
Thank you for agreeing to participate in this study. The purpose of this research is to explore strategies for mitigating inadequate real-time monitoring in offshore drilling operations. The
study focuses on understanding how managers, C-Suite executives, senior leaders, and other decision-influencing professionals perceive the causes, risks, and possible solutions associated with real-time monitoring challenges in offshore exploration and production environments.
Your responses will help provide practical insight into how offshore drilling organizations can improve monitoring reliability, workforce safety, environmental protection, operational
performance, emergency response, and organizational decision-making. The study is also guided by High-Reliability Organization (HRO) principles, including attention to weak signals, sensitivity to operations, resilience, deference to expertise, and careful interpretation of complex operational data. These areas are closely aligned with the research purpose and questions identified in the applied doctoral project.
Participation is voluntary. You may decline to answer any question or withdraw from the study at any time. Please do not disclose confidential, proprietary, classified, or personally
identifiable company information in your responses. Your answers will be used only for academic research purposes and will be reported in a manner that protects participant and organizational confidentiality,
