Open Call for Composers 2026

New York, NY – OCT 22th 2026 – CreArtBox, the internationally recognized chamber music collective based in New York, has announced the launch of two major open calls for composers as part of its 2026-2027 programming. These initiatives provide opportunities for contemporary creators to have their work performed in interdisciplinary productions integrating music, visual arts, theater, and multimedia. Selected artists will be featured in CreArtBox’s 2026-2027 season and international touring projects, reaching audiences across the United States and Europe.


Past editions of CreArtBox’s commissioning and residency programs have resulted in multiple ommissions, reinforcing the ensemble’s commitment to developing new work at the highest level. Additionally, past artists have received major commissions for chamber operas in New York, and large-scale multimedia productions. CreArtBox has brought its interdisciplinary projects to audiences across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, establishing itself as a global leader in cross-disciplinary performance.

Work Samples

Please upload 2 work samples that best represent your artistry. Each sample should include sheet music (PDF) and an audio recording (MP3). These could feature live performances or studio recordings. If the piece has not been recorded, audio exported from notation software is acceptable. While our core ensemble consists of flute, violin, viola, cello, piano, and baritone, we frequently collaborate on projects with a variety of instrumentations. Choose samples that highlight your strengths, creativity, and versatility.

How did you hear about us?

Administrative Fee

We have set a $20 fee to cover the administrative and operational costs associated with reviewing and processing applications. This fee helps us ensure that every submission is thoroughly evaluated by our team while maintaining the quality and efficiency of our selection process.
