1. State-wide Basic Income Pilot - SB 6196

2. CURB Act - SB 5990

3. A Green Amendment to the Washington State Constitution - HJR 4210

Position: PRO

HJR 4210 will allow Washingtonians to vote on adding a Green Amendment to our constitution, stating that the people of Washington, including future generations, have the inalienable right to a clean, healthy environment, including pure water, clean air, healthy ecosystems, and a stable climate.

4. Concerning fair access to community solar - SB 6113

SB 6113 enables community solar installations to move forward in Washington State. Please help it move out of committee before the cutoff by emailing the Senate Environment, Energy & Technology Committee.

5. Improve HB 1574 Supporting WA agriculture by capturing methane and reducing greenhouse gases - HB 1574

Position: OTHER
Deadline: Wednesday 1/31 by 8:00 AM
HB 1574 offers grants for carbon sequestration and GHG emission reduction and sets up a committee to guide awards and inform farmers about the programs. The bill needs improving: funding for anaerobic digesters and for piping gas off site should be eliminated.

6. Right to Repair - HB 1933

7. Disclosure and tracking of fashion impacts - SB 5965, HB 2068

Position: SUPPORT

The fashion industry accounts for 8-10% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and involves high levels of water use and pollution. These bills direct the largest retailers to begin tracking pollution and to disclose improvement targets.
