Issue IV Submission

We are excited to announce the call for submissions for this year's digital zine. We invite you to share your unique stories through poetry, writing, art, photos, and other creative expressions that highlight the theme though storytelling.

Storytelling is a cherished practice among Indigenous peoples worldwide. Whether you are rooted in your land or have been uprooted from it, this is an opportunity to reflect on what steadfastness means to you and your community. Through storytelling, we can discover how the narratives we tell can shape our lives and our communities. We can explore the roots and routes connecting us to our lands and cultures, whether physically or through the narratives we share. Often, we find our stories are told for us. Through storytelling, we reclaim those narratives. What is your story? What is the story you wish to share?

This issue’s submissions will be curated into a digital zine, featuring poetry, reflections, artwork, spoken word, and photography exploring the power of storytelling in empowering our lives and our communities.

How to Submit

Art, Graphics, Writing, Photographs, Videos, & Spoken Word:

Email high resolution photos or videos to [email protected]

For writing(poetry, non-fiction, interviews, prose, stories etc), email text to [email protected]

Explain how your art connects to the theme of the power of storytelling

Include your first and last name

Tips

The prompting questions are meant to inspire you, and give an idea of our theme. Don’t let them hold you back in your storytelling!

If you have any platform (Instagram, Etsy, website, etc.) where you sell or promote your work, be sure to include it in your submission so we can direct readers there!

There is no limit to submissions. Submit as much as you like!
