MedNex Application Form

MedNex Research Fellowship & Committee Application

MedNex is a free global mentorship initiative connecting medical students and doctors to research opportunities, regardless of background or experience. With 3,000+ members across 50+ countries, participants have published in high-impact journals and presented at conferences.

Founded by Imperial College London alumni and academics from the Mayo Clinic and the National Heart & Lung Institute, MedNex was designed with one mission: to make research accessible and equitable. Everything we offer is entirely free, from mentorship and authorship to training and project support.

Opportunities

MedNex Fellowship: Join mentored research projects with authorship and leadership roles.
Committee Roles: Support mentorship, education, or media outreach with a focus on inclusivity and impact.

Selection Process

Research applicants are selected based on interest, fit with available projects, and motivation. Committee applicants are chosen for leadership potential and alignment with our mission. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a brief interview. You’ll hear back within 2–3 weeks of applying.

Eligibility

We welcome applications from individuals who are currently, or were previously, enrolled in a medical school, this includes current medical students, residents, researchers, consultants, and doctors worldwide. Applicants should have a strong interest in contributing to research or community-building efforts. All roles are remote and flexible, but a minimum level of engagement and at least 80% attendance is expected over the course of your involvement. Please indicate any upcoming academic or personal commitments in your application.
