Sign up to Volunteer with Wildlife Arts

Wildlife Arts* invites you to be part of building ecosystem awareness amongst our neighbors in Cambridge and neighboring cities.

Your talent and time are needed! Be part of a passionate volunteer team staffing events. You’ll be presenting festive, fun, all-ages arts experiences that center local urban wildlife and habitats. Most Cambridge Wildlife Arts programs are designed for kids and families whose access to nature is limited, but most are also public events are open to anyone. We also have behind-the-scenes administrative roles that are critical to keeping our work going.

Art (any kind!), arts administration, teaching, naturalist, and/or event planning experience is helpful but not required. More than anything, enthusiasm for the outdoors and cultural humility are your most important assets for this work.

Please tell us what volunteer roles are most interesting to you

Art Contest Behind-the-Scenes Team. This requires an average of 3–5 hours per month, mid-February through June 2026. If your availability is for 1-2 months only, we'll discuss further. Team members can expect a mix of virtual meetings, in-person team work, and asynchronous work you can do from home.

Spring Events volunteering (March, April, and May events, including Fresh Pond Day, primarily outdoors with kids and families). Help at single events possible. Most, but not all, events are on Saturdays.

Summer Events volunteering (June, July, and August events, including the Cambridge Moth Ball, primarily outdoors with kids and families). Most, but not all, events are on Saturdays.
