These adverts will use a cinematic approach to connect with specific target demographics, considering City College Plymouth. Depending on the advert and your role, you will be acting to convey specific emotions and narratives relevant to that group. This could involve portraying a sense of anticipation, the determination to learn, the worry of making a big decision, or the joy of achievement, for example. While some scenes will be set within the college environment, the focus will be on capturing authentic emotional responses and compelling performances that resonate with the intended audience. Although the majority of filming will take place at City College Plymouth, there may also be opportunities for filming in diverse locations around Plymouth to enhance the storytelling. The final adverts will be crafted for a wide range of platforms, emphasising strong visual storytelling and impactful performances.
We are seeking a diverse range of local individuals (16+) with varying levels of experience who are comfortable on camera, reliable, and able to take direction well. No previous acting experience is required. Details on the specific roles can be found below. Round One Films and City College Plymouth are committed to inclusive casting and encourage individuals of all backgrounds to apply.
Each role will only be required for one full day of filming. We will also ask for your availability for a contingency day of filming. If this is required, we will confirm after your main shoot day. This will also be paid for as a minimum of an additional half day and up to a full day if it exceeds 4 hours on set.
Start times will be confirmed closer to the shoot date. There is a possibility we might shift the day to either start early or finish late, so please be aware of this.
We will not be supplying outfits or makeup for the shoot. We will give you guidance on what you should wear for the shoot, and if you require makeup, we ask that you arrive ready to film.
