Role Description – Remote Frontend Engineer
Role Location: Fully Remote (Work from anywhere)
Role Overview
We’re looking for a passionate Remote Frontend Engineer to join Zonamap and help craft intuitive, high-performance web and mobile interfaces for our real estate platform. Whether you’re a fresher 0+ years / eager to kickstart your career or a seasoned developer with up to 7+ years of experience, you’ll play a key role in building user-friendly experiences that make property transactions seamless. You’ll collaborate with our design, product, and backend teams to deliver solutions that delight users and drive innovation.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain responsive, high-quality web and mobile interfaces for Zonamap’s real estate platform.
Build and optimize frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, primarily React.js or React Native, with potential use of Next.js or Vue.js.
Translate UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect, performant, and accessible interfaces.
Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure smooth data flow for features like property document retrieval and boundary mapping.
Write clean, modular, and testable code, following best practices for scalability and maintainability.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and cross-functional discussions to drive product excellence.
For experienced candidates: Mentor junior developers, contribute to frontend architecture decisions, and champion best practices in performance and accessibility.
Stay updated on frontend trends and recommend tools or libraries to enhance user experience and developer efficiency.
Contribute to Zonamap’s mission of simplifying real estate through innovative technology.
Qualifications
Experience Levels:
Fresher (0-2 years): Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and eagerness to learn React.js/React Native. Familiarity with Git and web development concepts is a plus.
Mid-Level (2-5 years): Proven experience building web or mobile interfaces with React.js or similar frameworks, plus a solid understanding of state management and API integration.
Senior (5-7+ years): Expert-level proficiency in React.js/React Native, experience with complex frontend architectures, and a track record of delivering scalable, high-performance - applications.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience with modern frontend tooling (e.g., Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn) and version control (Git).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling.
- For mid/senior levels: Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Testing Library) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (not required for freshers with strong portfolios).
Nice to Have
Experience with React Native for mobile app development (e.g., Zonamap’s mobile interface).
Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Sketch for collaborating with UI/UX designers.
Experience with animation libraries (e.g., Framer Motion) or progressive web apps (PWAs).
Exposure to agile development environments and cross-functional teams.
