This is a Foundation level course on Learning Python and How it is applied in Financial Markets.
Focus Area : I will take you through Fundamentals of Python, Working with Core Python Libraries, Fetching Market Data, Performing operations on Data, Understanding different ways to Integrate with Broker and finally how to perform basic technical analysis using the data (Detailed syllabus will be published soon).
Course Overview [8 hrs]
1. Introduction and Overview of Python (Installation, Fundamentals of Programming, Environment setup, Jupyter Notebook & working with IDE) [60 min]
2. Python Programming (Syntax, Variable, Data Types, Conditions, Loops, Functions and Classes) [ 120 min]
3. Core Python Libraries and Packages (Numpy, Pandas, yfinance) [90 min ]
4. Visualization using Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn) [30 min]
5. Data and Broker Integrations (Technical Concepts[APIs, WebSockets, SDKs], yfinance, Broker Integration[Dhan, Aliceblue]) [60 min]
6. Data Manipulation & Technical Analysis (Data Analysis, Calculating Technical Indicators using TALib) [60 min]
7. Question and Answers [60 min] spread over the course
Mode of Delivery
1. This course will be Instructor Led, delivered Online and will be covered over a weekend[Sat-Sun, 11:00 - 5:00 PM] with enough breaks in between.
2. We can have discussions during breaks, 1 hr after each day on Sat-Sun and then finally in the subsequent week there will be an additional Open Hour for discussions. This is over and above 8 hrs of course time.
3. The Batch starts End of May/Early June.
