Control is to be understood as the possibility to exercise decisive influence on your company (notably in relation to its strategic business decisions), directly or indirectly, through one or more intermediate entities, "de jure" or "de facto".
A company established in the EU and Norway, and controlled by non-associated third-country entity, is eligible to participate if it has already received a guarantee approved by the country in which it is established (to participate in the European Defence Fund). This guarantee needs to be in accordance with Article 9(4) of the EDF Regulation (EU) 2021/697.
