🌊🌿 BiCRS Marine sub-sediment burial Carbon Credit Methodology - Public Consultation

Riverse is a carbon crediting standard, and we’re excited to announce a 30-day public consultation on our Marine sub-sediment burial module, which is a new addition to our BiCRS methodology. This consultation is part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and collaboration in the development of each methodology. This module was developed by Riverse with support from Sinkco Labs, and underwent expert technical review by David Harning, PhD in Geological Sciences and EcoEngineers.
The goal of this consultation is to gather input from a broad range of stakeholders to ensure the module is both scientifically sound and practically applicable. Your feedback will directly influence the refinement of our module and its broader implementation in the carbon crediting market. We aim to strike a balance between methodological rigor and feasibility, keeping in mind the real-world challenges that project developers and other stakeholders face.
Your participation is crucial in ensuring that this module is robust, credible, and effective in certifying novel carbon storage technologies. Thank you for contributing to the future of carbon crediting! πŸ™
Why do you have an interest to participate?
βœ”οΈ Ensure you can use the module easily
βœ”οΈ Ensure we enable a wide range of relevant marine sub-sediment burial projects to use the module
βœ”οΈ Ensure the module meets the scientific rigor needed for issuing high-quality carbon credits
How to answer this consultation?
βœ”οΈ You can complete the form in multiple sessions (your answers will automatically be saved).
βœ”οΈ Some questions are mandatory (marked by a "*") because they are pivotal for us. The other questions are optional (but any additional answer is highly appreciated!).
βœ”οΈ This consultation is divided in 3 sections: first some key questions for us, second questions on data requirements for project developers, third open comment on each sections of the methodology.
⏱️ Only the first section is mandatory and should take you around 15 minutes to answer.
Timeline
This consultation will be open until March 10th. We will build on the results to publish the finalized V1 of the module by end of March 2025. This timeline is purely indicative.
