Apprentice Application

The Apprentice Program gives program participants experience and training, as well as a clear pathway to becoming knowledgeable, well-rounded instructor in the pole and aerial industry. 

Apprentice Responsibilities

- Learning and developing practical skills to be used for classroom instruction
- Observing students, classes, and instructors (observation hours)
- Participating in student teaching (student teaching hours)
- Participating in Master Classes (lecture hours)
- Completing tests, evaluations, and assignments
- Participating in mentorship sessions
- Keeping a log of everything learned

Time Commitment

The apprentice agrees to work at least 3 hours per week to complete program assignments. Assignments include shadowing, student teaching, mentor sessions, and program work for 13 weeks. An additional 8 hours will be scheduled within the 13 weeks for Master Classes. Apprentice will coordinate with their supervisor to schedule Master Class dates. 


Holidays, business closures, and approved time off may interfere with the ability to complete apprenticeship assignments within 13 weeks. In this case, the apprentice will coordinate with supervisor to revise schedule to complete hours within a timely manner.


Qualifications

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED - At least 1 year of consistent practice on apparatus of choice
- Approved ACE, NASM, AFAA, ISSA, etc. certification or equivalent preferred
- Ability to be professional and motivate class participants
- Ability to cooperate and work well with other staff members
- Possess a high degree of energy and have the endurance to complete the demonstrations
- Ability to self-motivate with little to no-supervision
- Outgoing personality with exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management, critical, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- A growth mindset and passion for learning
