The Other Life community makes a habit of meeting in-person each year (last year was at The Wagon Box in Story, WY). This year, we're organizing a retreat in the foothills of the Sierra-Nevada. This event will run from Thursday, July 24 to Sunday, July 27 at a location somewhere along Highway 4 between Angels Camp and Arnold. You can drive, or you can fly into one of four regional airports -- San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, or Reno. We will work with attendees to ensure everyone can make it to the cabin.
The tentative theme will be "Slow Work: Build Now to Peak Later." We'll discuss how to devise projects and order our lives to set ourselves up to do the best work of our lives over decades, not quarters. The weekend will also afford time to work on any writing, drafting, or brainstorming you'd like. There will be plenty of good food and great company. We will likely arrange to visit a winery, but can also do hikes, disc golf, visit caves, and much more. Above all, we aim to have fun and build deeper connections within the Other Life community.

We may offer lower priced tickets for those opting for bunk beds, as well as pricier tickets for those who want a private bedroom with a queen sized bed.
We invite you to bring a spouse and/or children, but be aware this will increase your cost. Space will likely be limited for shared sleeping arrangements.
We want to be aware of anything which might need to go into our food prep plan.
We will use this answer to decide whether to purchase alcohol for the group or not.
