Thanks for your interest in the HHN Connector Fellowship. We will be hosting this fellowship program again this summer so if you cannot make the winter dates, we encourage you to still apply so we can notify you when we open up the next round.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage those who are passionate about building a stronger network to apply. We will accept five people this session.
This program aims to get people from different regions to get know each other, increase the participants skills and tools for facilitation and establish a model that can be improved with each iteration.
1. Weekly facilitation trainings and co-working sessions to move through the material together. You will be seeing in our weekly meetings examples of how to open and close online sessions with fun and interactive tools and learn some tips for online organizing.
2. Building a robust contact list that you can use in your work (200 person goal!) and to invite to the online network building event we will plan together.
3. Hosting an online Panel Discussion & Network Building live event to connect with national leaders working to protect their communities from the harms of oil and gas. You will be a part of the panel and help lead a break out room discussion.
4. Calling and emailing directly with people you'd like to connect with or connect to other leaders / organizations in the Halt the Harm Network to build community and support people with direct and personalized conversations.
5. We will ask you to track your progress in the Halt the Harm Network's online platform, completing a checklist as you go through the material and tasks. Completing the items on the checklist will ensure payment for the fellowship.
Compensation- fellows will receive $1,000 for about 20-22 hours of activities over the course of 8 weeks (about $45/hour and about 1-4 hours per week of work).
Schedule- The 8 week fellowship starts on Monday January 15th and ends February 29th, 2024. Some weeks will be an hour or work, like the introduction and closing weeks, and some weeks will be up to 2-3 hours a week, perhaps 4 hours max.
The specific schedule will be set once the team has formed, however we will have weekly 1-2 hour trainings and co-working sessions on either Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays (we'll poll the fellows to see what exact days work best). We hope you can attend most of these live or watch the recording if you have to miss one.
We will host a live networking event together to build relationships with people across the country and try to bring awareness about Halt the Harm Network to new people. This will be held the week of February 19th at a date and time in the evening we will choose together.
