Contribute to the DYNARCHIVING-chatbot!

Imagine you could address users at the exact moment they are researching in a digital database or archive:

What would you ask them? What should they ask themselves? What should they be aware of? What should they know about the biases of data? What would you point out to them about the use of data? What should they consider with regard to the search results?

Be it acquisition books of museums, shipping routes of the slave trade, documents about looted or disappropriated cultural goods, colonial trade contracts, auction catalogues, invoices for sales, artmarket networks, the collections of museums or libraries or any kind of archive; not just in the contexts of Empire, colonization, German national socialism, the Soviet occupation zone or the GDR: Archival material principally bears the traces of the original data collectors and their worldviews – and hence they reproduce historical biases, ommit voices, information, perspectives.

Let's make users aware – with your help.

The DYNARCHIVING-chatbot will only display YOUR questions, YOUR comments, YOUR prompts! Thank you for contributing to make it happen.
